It might be because you are not following these casual relationship rules, in turn we have relationship problems. If you don’t ask for a date you’ll never get one. If you find someone interesting then simply ask for their number. You are around people at many times during your days events. Casual relationships are about keeping your options open. Self discovery and learning new things is what casual dating is all about.

Experimenting is the key here, many times we find ourselves with the same kind of person that we end up dating. We might have a pre-conceived notion of what is right for us. By following this casual relationship rule there’s not much left over for the other person’s imagination to wander into. If they are not interested at this point, let it go and move on. If they are warm to this beginning then set up a date for later.

Casual relationship rules have respect for your date

If you have respect for the person that you are on a date with, the chances are you will have more fun. We all have feelings and if we respect those feelings we will get respect back. Respect and honesty are like two peas in a pod, you can’t have one without the other.

If when you were on that date and you two just didn’t hit it off. It could be that the other person or yourself is still a bit uncomfortable. Casual dating can often turn into a friendship and who among us doesn’t need more friends. Friendship are casual relationships also.

If you happen to see them again don’t ignore them, be nice and smile. Say hello and be decent, you never know whom that person that you were on that date with knows. It might turn out that someone else you are on a date with that you really like are friends with that person. You could just get a bad report from that date that didn’t work out.

Now if that date was fantastic, beware and don’t fall into changing the casual relationship into a serious relationship too fast. That means calling them many times a day or showing up at their work. Remember the boundaries that you set up at the start.

Keep it fun, casual and give it time. If those deeper feelings do surface then you do have the right to let them know how you feel. The other person might not feel the same way as you do about the relationship, so do remember that and if this is the case then give them their room.

The same goes for if the shoe is on the other foot. Let them know the boundaries and be honest. Remember your casual relationship rules and don’t lead them on. If you want different things in life, be firm and take a stand. But remember to be gentle and respectful.
